For this focal necklace, I glued cabochons to a cork coin focal, and sewed gemstones around the edge. The cabochons are attached easily using a small drop of super glue, and the cork is sturdy, yet thin enough to easily sew on your favorite beads!

Glue the cabochons to the cork coin focal in any pattern you choose. Sew 4mm gemstones around the edge of the focal. See my embellished cork bracelet for a step-by-step on how to sew the beads securely around the cork.
Attach jump rings to the thread on the back of the cork. Attach the chain to the jump rings.
