Bird of Paradise Earrings
About this design:
For this design, I attached an assortment of beads to these cork teardrops to create a unique & colorful pair of statement earrings.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- Gold Mixative
- Cork Teardrop Focal
- Czech Glass Daggers
- Sea Green Mosaic Shell Round 4mm
- Pink Agate Tube
- Earwires
- Headpins
- Gold Crystal Rondelles 2mm
- Needle & Thread
- Super Glue
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Sew the Sea Green Mosaic Shell 4mm Rounds to the edge of the cork teardrop focal. Follow the steps from my embellished cork bracelet. Once your finished, knot the end of a piece of thread. Pull it though the back of the bottom of the cork, near the centermost bead. |

Step 2: Pull the needle through the hole of the bead in the center and slide a Czech Glass dagger onto the thread. |
|
Step 3: Pull the needle through the hole of the next round bead, so the dagger lays in between. |
|
Step 4: Slide two pink agate tubes & a dagger onto the thread. Pull the needle back up through the agate beads so the dagger hangs below them. |
|
Step 5: Pull the thread so the agate beads are up against the round beads. Push the needle through the cork & back up again. Repeat these steps to fill out the bottom of the earring. |
