Cowrie shells are always a hot summer trend, I have been noticing this choker style necklace with cowries at stores and on celebrities in magazines.

Supplies you’ll need:

You will need: - 4 cowrie shells -9-10 pearls (I listed a few options in product list) -24 gauge wire -1ft of heavy gold chain - 1 clasp

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut 2" of wire, feed it rhough the end of your cowrie shell. Take your round nose pliers and create a loop, wrap the wire tail around the loop and cut off excess. Do this on the other side of the bead. Do this same process to all of your cowrie shells.

Step 2

Cut 2" of wire, feed it though your pearl. Take your round nose pliers and create a loop, wrap the wire tail around the loop and cut off excess. Do this on the other side of the bead. Do this same process to 3 of your pearl beads.

Step 3

Cut 3-4" of wire, feed it though 3 pearls. Take your round nose pliers and create a loop, wrap the wire tail around the loop and cut off excess. Do this on the other side of the bead. Do this same process to another set of 3 pearls.

Step 4

Lay out your necklace how you want, then connect your link with jump rings.

Step 5

Attach your chain to the ends and add your clasp. You are now ready for summer!
