This week I was really excited to design with these new seed beads- the colors are all so vibrant! For this design, I used headpins to create an ombré focal piece. I thought the deep purple looked great with the greens, so I paired it with an aquamarine nugget to create a unique (and easy to make!) layered necklace.
Make 5 bead charms with the seed beads & headpins. Slide the beads on in the order shown in the picture.
Attach the charms to the gold arc focal with the jump rings. Place a small drop of glue on each jump ring so they don't move around. Attach the chain to the arc focal with jump rings. Move about 2 inches up the chain & cut it. Make a bead link with a 2" piece of wire and attach it directly to the chain. Slide on 2 light green seed beads, a gold seed bead, and 2 more light green beads. Loop the wire to the other piece of chain to connect them back together.
To make the focal for the seed bead necklace, slide a gold spacer, an aquamarine (or similar color) nugget and another spacer onto a headpin & make a bead charm. On beading wire, slide on the seed beads & the focal in the center.
To break up the purple, every few inches I slid on 2 cream, 2 mint, 1 gold, 2 mint, and 2 more cream seed beads.
