Carved Feather with Hemp Bail

I wanted to create an earthy centerpiece for my necklace by using hemp to create a bail. I loved how it turned out, you could also use waxed cord.

Supplies you’ll need:

You will need hemp and a carved feather.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

I cut 8" of hemp, I always cut extra just in case. Feed the hemp through the hole of the feather and create a loop.

Step 2

Next, start wrapping the hemp tail around until the top of the feather is covered. Then knot that tail with the other end on the back side. Using a little dab of glue will make this bail more durable.
