I think Fancy Jasper with an AB finish might be my new favorite gemstone! I knew I wanted to use them in a design when I first saw them- I think they look great with the Green Kyanite, Orange Opalite, & the gold accents. I got a bit carried away & made this layered necklace, but I think each strand would look great on their own as well!

Supplies you’ll need:

  • Gold Chain
  • Gold Crimp Tubes
  • Gold Lobster Clasps
  • Gold Jump Rings
  • Gold Wire (22 or 24 Gauge)
  • Beading Wire
  • Gemstones & Crystal (see below for the ones I used)
  • Gold Charms (see below for the ones I used)
  • African Brass Rice
  • Prasiolite Teardrop Link

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step

Step 1

Begin with a piece of beading wire about 27" long. make a loop on one end & secure with a crimp tube. String on the beads in the order shown in the picture. Make a loop on the other end through a lobster clasp & secure with a crimp. For the center focal, I made a small bead link with 2 of the Fancy Jasper Rondelles. Attach the bottom of this link directly to the gold moon & star link. From the bottom of that link, attach a 1.5" piece of chain with a jump ring. Cut the chain in the middle & attach another link of two Fancy Jasper Rondelles. Use a jump ring to attach the Citrine charm to the bottom.

Step

Step 2

The second necklace is about 25" long. I strung some of the Fancy Jasper Rondelles onto beading wire & attached to chain with the crimp tubes. Next, I made smaller bead links w/ the fancy jasper & attached throughout the chain. I also added in some gold focal links, a gold bird charm , & a Prasiolite link.

Step

Step 3

The third necklace is about 18" long. The center of the necklace is a link made with beading wire. Make a loop at one end & secure with a crimp tube. Slide on the beads in the order shown in the picture. Make a loop at the other end & secure with a crimp. For the drops, I made bead charms with headpins & the Sunset Opalite 10mm Rounds. The center drop has a Fancy Jasper Rondelle above & below the Opalite bead. I used 11/0 seed beads to separate the Green Kyanite nuggets.

Step

Step 4

For the rest of the necklace, I made bead chain by connecting bead links of Green Kyanite, Sunset Opalite, & Smoky Quartz Together.
