Fun with Rattan Necklaces
About this design:
For these necklaces, I mixed a variety of Rattan pieces with gemstones, tassels, bead chain, and leather to create unique focals.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- Rattan Focals
- Wire
- Chain
- Leather Cord
- Your favorite gemstones & tassels

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: I used wire to attach the beads to the Rattan Focals- See step 1 of my Rattan Earrings design. Once you've attached your beads to the rattan, use jump rings to attach your chosen chain. To attach the tassel, I wrapped a piece of wire through the jump ring on the tassel & around the focal a couple of times. |

Step 2: For these styles, I simply knotted leather cord around the top of the focal. For the necklace on the left, I slid seed beads onto the cord & knotted to keep them in place. For the necklace on the right, I slid a crystal point focal onto the leather cord before knotting it around the rattan. You could also use a jump ring to attach after you've attached the leather.
