Acetate & Pearl Necklace

I love the modern silhouette created by mixing different shapes of acetate together. For this design, I paired emerald acetate & pearls with gold chain to create a unique (and very lightweight!) focal necklace.

Supplies you’ll need:

Acetate focals, pearls, gold chain, jump rings, lobster clasp, Czech glass, gold 24 gauge wire, headpins.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Use the headpins to make 4 bead charms using the Czech glass & gold seed beads. Attach directly to a link of chain. Make 4 bead links with the pink seed beads & attach directly to the chain holding the bead charm, and attach the top of the link directly to another link of chain. Use a jump ring to attach to the acetate. For the middle charm, use 3 potato pearls.

Step 2

Use jump rings to attach the pearl link to both acetate focals.

Step 3

Make 2 bead links with the pearls-attached directly to each other. Attach the bottom link to the acetate with a jump ring and attach the top link directly to a 7" piece of chain. Move up the chain attaching pearl links and the crystal bezel links. Repeat on the other side of the necklace. Finish with a jump ring & lobster clasp.
