For this design, I used a mix of moonstone, turquoise, and hessonite along with gold accents & microsuede cord to create this simple, layered necklace.
Beading wire, gold 24 gauge wire, camel microsuede, gemstones (see below for the ones I used), 11/0 gold seed beads, cord ends, crimp tubes, crimp covers, lobster clasps, jump rings, Nunn Design antique silver organic tube, super glue
Begin with a 22" piece of beading wire. Make a loop at one end & secure with a crimp tube. Place a crimp cover over the crimp tube. Slide on the turquoise, hessonite, moonstone, and gold seed beads in the order shown in the picture. Make another loop at the end & secure with a crimp tube & cover. Attach a jump ring to one end, and a lobster clasp to the other end.
For the second necklace, you'll need two 8.5" pieces of microsuede. Place a small drop of glue inside of the cord ends & slide the ends of the cord in. Once dried, attach a lobster clasp & jump ring.
Next, you'll need a 3" piece of beading wire. Make a loop at one end & secure with a crimp tube. Place a crimp cover over the crimp tube. Slide on 7 turquoise beads, the silver tube, and 7 more turquoise. Make another loop at the end & secure with a crimp tube & cover. Slide the end of the microsuede through the loop about 1/4". Wrap wire around the two pieces of microsuede to secure.
