Wildflower Fields Necklace
by Elaina W on 01/07/21
About this design:
For this design, I paired amethyst & turquoise with tourmaline to create this layered necklace. I love how the colors ended up looking together & the charms at the bottom are a fun addition!
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- Gold 24 Gauge Wire
- Beading Wire
- Headpins
- Jump Rings
- Lobster Clasps
- Crimp Tubes
- Crimp Covers
- Gemstones (see below for the ones I used)
- Citrine Link
Step-by-Step Instructions:
![]() |
Step 1: Use the 24 gauge wire to make bead links with the Tourmaline puff coins. In the center, attach the links to the citrine horse eye link. Continue making links until you've reached your desired length- mine is 18" long. Finish by attaching a lobster clasp & jump ring to the ends. |
![]() |
Step 2: For the second necklace, begin by making bead charms with the amethyst, turquoise, & tourmaline and attach them to the hammered ring links (attach with jump rings or attach the bead charms directly to the ring links). |

Step 3: Now you'll need two 11.5" pieces of beading wire. Loop the ends around the top of the hammered link & secure with a crimp tube & cover. On each wire, slide on 3 gold seed beads, a turquoise coin, and 3 more seed beads. Close a jump ring around the two strands just below the turquoise coin- this just keeps the strands in place next to each other. See Tip: Crimping Basics See Tip: Using a Crimp Cover |

Step 4: On each strand, slide on the amethyst, turquoise, and seed beads in the order shown in the picture. I also added in bead charms throughout. Finish with a lobster clasp & jump ring. |

swerdybird says:Gorgeous – I’ld happily wear that one ! (Not OCD enough to make one – maybe a far looser cruder version cuz I love the general shape & like multi strands though they can be quite tricky)
