Knotted Necklace & Bracelet
by Lima Beads on 02/11/21
About this design:
This design was created by one of our amazing order team members, Lindsay! You may remember Lindsay from our anklet challenge as the winner. She does wonderful work knotting malas, necklaces, and bracelets. In these pieces she featured our Hubei magnesite and lepidolite, accenting with knots coral pops of color. The tiger eye focal is the perfect finishing touch!
Buy the supplies:
The products in this design are listed below.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Decide on the length of your necklace and cut 2 cords at triple that length measured. Layout you beads in the order you want to string them. Start knotting with the first bead at the front of the necklace, leaving a 6" tail of string. Then work your way around to the other side using simple overhand knots between each bead utilizing both cords. When the knotting is complete between the beads, string your tails of cord from opposing sides through the pendant and secure with knots. Finish by adding a touch of adhesive. |
Step 2: To make the bracelet use the same techniques as the necklace and finish with a toggle clasp. I added a cute TierraCast abalone charm to finish things off on the toggle ring side. |
