Braided Charm Wrap Bracelet

About this design:

I've always loved making friendship bracelets, so this design is inspired by that-only simpler to make! Instead of knotting the cord, I decided to braid it and added these tiny heart & star focal beads.

What you’ll need: (buy products below)

  • Gold & Silver Heart Focal Beads
  • Gold & Silver Star Focal Beads
  • Bead Cord
  • Lobster Clasp
  • Jump Rings
  • Super Glue

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
Begin with three colors of .5mm bead cord, each about 50" long. Tie a double knot around a jump ring & secure with a drop of super glue. Tape the end down on a table and begin braiding the cord. About every inch, slide a focal bead onto a piece of the cord & continue braiding until you've reached your desired length.
Step 2:
I made mine to be 32" long so it wraps around my wrist 5 times. Once you've reached the end, tie a double knot through the loop of a lobster clasp & secure with a drop of glue.

Creative! It leaves plenty of personal creativity with choice of color and cord to use and choice of charms. My mind is spinning at warp speed.

Such a fun bracelet. The tiny charms look great. Some are silver and the others gold.

Just what I need! Going to make some bracelets and necklaces for the
grandchildren. They are young and will be thrilled to have jewelry of their own.

This is very cute with the stars & hearts. I like the mixed metals–amazing how it can lift the design to a different level of interest.

What a lovely bracelet! And how clever of you to choose such lovely colors! I would not have thought to use the brown as by itself it is unlovely, but with the other colors it makes something very special.
