Halcyon Days Necklace

Step 1

Begin by making a bead link with the wire and the lotus coin. Attach the tassel to the bottom of the link.

Step 2

Slide a piece of beading wire (about 18" long) through the top of the link. Slide 14 seed beads onto each side of the wire.

Step 3

Bring the pieces of wire together and slide on an African Rice bead.

Step 4

Slide 3 seed beads onto each wire. Continue sliding on beads in the order shown in the picture. Note the larger seed beads I used that are separating the Fossil jasper energy tubes are the seed beads that you'll get with the energy tube strand* Once you've finished stringing on the beads, make a loop at the end of the wire & secure with a crimp tube & cover.

Step 5

Next, you'll need a piece of microsuede cord about 23" long. Slide the end of the microsuede through the loop about 1/4". Wrap wire around the two pieces of microsuede to secure.

Step 6

For the second necklace, I made bead links with the Aquamarine energy tubes, coconut rondelles, and African brass rice until I reached a length of 18".

Step 7

Lastly, use jump rings to connect the ends of the bead chain to an 8.5" piece of gold chain. I made both necklaces long enough to fit overhead, so no clasp is needed.
