Fire & Ice Necklace Set
by Elaina W on 09/30/21
About this design:
For this design, I used a mix of Amazonite, Goldstone, Peach Moonstone, Coconut Shell, & gold accents to create this matching set. I love how the Goldstone looks with the Amazonite (and how much it sparkles!) and the mix of shapes & textures helps to add interest.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
- Gold Chain
- Beading Wire
- Hoop Earrings w/ Loops
- Headpins
- Lobster Clasps
- Jump Rings
- Crimp Tubes & Covers
- Gold 3mm Round Beads
- Gold Teardrop Focal
- Gold 3-Hole End Bar
- Gold 5mm Heishi
- Gold 8/0 Seed Beads
- African Brass Rice
- Brazil Amazonite 5mm Faceted Cubes
- Goldstone 6mm Faceted Rounds
- Coconut Shell
- Peach Moonstone 4mm Rounds
- Turquoise Tiny Thread Tassel
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: To make the earrings, make 5 bead charms using the gold headpins & the Amazonite cubes. Next, make 5 bead links using the gold wire & the Goldstone 6mm rounds. Use the 3mm jump rings to attach the Goldstone links to the loops of the gold hoop earrings. Lastly, use the 3mm jump rings to attach the Amazonite charms to the Goldstone links. See Tip: Make a Wire Wrapped Bead Link See Tip: Wire Wrap a Charm |

Step 2: For the necklace, begin with a 19" piece of chain. Use the headpins to make 8 bead charms with the Amazonite cubes & 8 charms using the Goldstone 6mm rounds. Attach the charms to the chain using the 3mm jump rings. I spaced mine about an inch apart. In the center of the chain, use a jump ring to attach the teardrop focal. Make another charm with the Amazonite cube & attach directly to the focal. To finish, attach a jump ring & lobster clasp to the ends of the chain. See Tip: Wire Wrap a Charm |

Step 3: Begin by sliding a 6" piece (or your desired length) of beading wire though the hole of the bar. Secure with a crimp tube & cover. Repeat this step on the two other holes. See Tip: Crimping Basics |

Step 4: Slide the beads on the strands in the order shown in the picture. I used a mix of Amazonite cubes, Goldstone 6mm rounds, Coconut Shell, Peach Moonstone, African Brass Rice, and gold 3mm rounds. When you've reached the end, slide the wire through the hole of the connector bar & secure with a crimp tube & cover. |

dolllady aka Pam says:I love this set. This set reminds me of a Girl Scout trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota. It also looks Native AAmerica.

K Ralston says:I agree with Pam. It looks a bit Native American, and I think a little bit hippie / boho. All of which I like. Very pretty colors.
