Vampire Queen Choker Necklace

About this design:

Spooky season is upon us! I wanted to create a piece that could be worn to a Halloween masquerade. The mix of red and black remind me of a glam vampire queen.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1:
Cut about 24" inches of thread and string on your needle. String the black onyx, 6mm ruby fire polished rounds & 3mm etched red fire polished rounds in the order shown.
  Step 2:
Cut another 24" length and string your needle. Now we'll begin working the second strand into our original strand.

I worked from right to left, but this design could be accomplished working from left to right as well.
Step 3:
Pass your needle through the last three beads added to your original strand: two black onyx rounds and one etched red round.

Exit the etched red round.

String on two 3mm jet FP rounds, one black onyx round, two 3mm jet FP rounds, one cherry teardrop and one etched red round.
Step 4:
Pass your needle back through the cherry teardrop. The etched red round works as an anchor. Your needle is now exiting the cherry teardrop.
Step 5:
Pick up two 3mm jet FP rounds, one black onyx round and two 3mm jet FP rounds.
Step 6:
Pass from right to left through the next 3mm red etched round on your original string. Your string is now exiting the red etched round.
Step 7:
Repeat the pattern and exit through the first three beads added in the original strand.
Step 8:
Here's what the design looks like up to this point.
Step 9:
Next, use a 2x2mm crimp tube and a 6mm matte jump ring to end both sides of the design. Cover the crimps with a crimp cover.
Step 10:
Cut two lengths of about 20" of black microsuede. You can increase or decrease this length as you desire. Slide each length of microsuede through each jump ring. Center the jump ring on the length of microsuede.
Step 11:
Finish with a bow.
