No Bad Vibes Necklace
by AndreaP at Lima on 05/04/23
About this design:
No side eyes here! This colorful chain is stainless steel making it hypoallergenic and durable. You could wear this as a wrap bracelet too. The Evil Eye is an ancient Mediterranean symbol. It is believed to ward off misfortune or cast evil projections back to evil-doers.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
You will need 3 types of evil eye chain:
-1' Cobalt 10mm Evil Eye Chain -1' Turquoise 10mm Evil Eye Chain -1' Santorini Mix Evil Eye Chain -20 Stainless jump rings -Magnetic Clasp -Freshwater pearls -24 gauge eye pins -1 head pin - 24 gauge
You can add a little more chain to make this a wrap bracelet. My total length was 19" including the clasp.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: You will need to cut three 3" pieces of santorini mix chain. Now cut apart the larger 10mm coin links from their chain. You will need 3 cobalt 10mm eyes and 3 turquoise 10mm eyes. You will need 9 freshwater pearls. |

Step 2: Create 9 bead links out of your freshwater pearls using your eye pins. Follow the tip below for help. See Tip: Make a Wire Wrapped Bead Link |
Step 3: Attach all of your components in the order shown with the jump rings. Attch your clasp with jump rings as well. |
|

Step 4: I attched my jump ring on one end of the necklace 2 beads up from the end. I then attached a pearl charm on the end with a jump ring. I used the headpin to create this pearl charm. See Tip: Wire Wrap a Charm |

dolllady aka Pam says:This is a great necklace! It would be especially good for elementary teachers to try to teach positive behaviors in their students since the eyes of the teacher would be on them at all times in the classroom.

Little Round Chick says:Fun design love the pearls. Thanks for the info on the Evil Eye. I needed this when I was teaching Jr high art. Those kids needed the evil eye cast in their direction.
