This adorable jet pave CZ heart link is in classic jet which is wearable anytime (not just for Valentine's Day). I wanted to show off our black onyx, I don't think it's showcased enough. It is elegant and a timeless gemstone to add to your stash.

Supplies you’ll need:

4mm faceted black onyx
Chinese knotting cord
2 stainless steel heart slides
1 jet CZ heart link
2ft stringing chain in silver
2 silicone tube beads

Recommended tools: scissors, glue, and a lighter to seal the knots.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut two pieces of 1.5' of Chinese knotting cord. Make sure you have enough extra cord to fit over your head since we are using silicone tubes to slide the necklace open and closed.Cut the cord at an angle and slightly burn it and pull gently form a sharpe angle. Feed the cord through the heart link loop and knot as shown. Trim the extra short tail off the knot and burn the end to secure the knot. Be careful not to burn the main cord. Do this on both sides.

Step 2

Slide the onyx beads on and one heart bead. I only used the heart slide bead on one side for an asymmetrical look.

Step 3

You can see in the image how far up I placed the heart slide.

Step 4

I did not go all the way to the end with my beads, I left about 2-3" without beads. Once you have enough beads on create a double knot and burn it to secure it.

Step 5

To attach the silicone beads Just criss-cross the cord through the tube. I tied on some onyx on each cord end and burned the knots to secure them.

Step 6

I cut about 18" of stringing chain, slide on the heart slide. Then criss-cross the cord through the silicone bead, then adjust the length as needed. For the ends of the chain I glued on an onyx bead.
