Surf and Sand Hoops

Capture the essence of a seaside retreat with these mesmerizing hoops.
Supplies you’ll need:
- 11/0 Miyuki Delica Surf & Sand seed bead mix
- Endless hoops
- Czech glass scallop beads (I used aquamarine w/ silver)
- Head pins
- 24-26 gauge wire
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1
Cut 7" of wire. Take the end of the wire (about a 1/2") and pull it around the hoop to wrap the wire tight. Trim the short wire tail off.
Step 2
Begin coiling the long wire tail around the hoop 5 or 6 times.
Step 3
Slide the seed beads onto the wire in a random order. Start wrapping the wire around the hoop. Once you get half way start Step 4.
Step 4
Create a bead charm with a scallop bead and a head pin. Slide the bead onto a head pin and create a loop at the top. Wrap the excess wire around the base of the loop and trim. Slide the bead charm onto the hoop. Continue wrapping the seed beads around the hoop. Leave enough space at the end to make the same amount of coils (5 or 6) at the end to match the other side. Trim an excess wire.
