Get creative with your bead selection for a one-of-a-kind crochet wrap bracelet. Using the same basic crochet chain you can put any multiple of beads in a chain, accessorizing with a range of Linhasita cord.
This wrap bracelet wraps twice around the wrist. Pre-string the metal beads onto the end of the Linhasita cord, making sure you string enough to complete the entire wrap bracelet pattern. For the bracelet in Sweet Mint, I pre-strung 35 gold beads. You can pre-cut the Linhasita cord now or cut only when you are finished. This way, you won’t waste any cord.
Begin crocheting! Create a slip knot with the cord, making sure that the end you can pull to tighten the loop is the end that is coming from the spool. Begin making approximately 20 chains. Then bring the crochet hook end back to the first 5 stitches, and chain through the back bumps of the 5 stitches. Then continue chaining past the starting chain to begin the main part of the bracelet.
See Tip: Basic Bead Crochet
At regular multiples of crochet chains, pull your crochet loop 1 inch long, remove your crochet hook, and slip a large-hole bead into the loop. Reinsert your hook and pull the loop so that the loop is now snug against the bead. Push 3 metal beads to the base of the crochet chain and then capture them in the next chain. You now have to captured the beads and created your first bead cluster. Continue creating bead clusters at regular intervals until you’ve used up all the beads or the bracelet is at your desired length.
Slip a large bead into your last crochet chain as a bead clasp and then secure your ends, trim the excess, and burn the ends slightly to prevent unraveling or fraying.
