This is my version of the trendy bandana necklace trend. I used sari silk in beach colors instead of a bandana. This tropical necklace has an elegant vibe that can be worn dressy or casual.
Cut 2 28" pieces of the bougainvillea sari and one 28" piece of the aquamarine sari. Slide the eye ring onto the end and tie an overhand knot. The eye ring should be in the knot so it doesn't move.
Separate the ribbon. The bouganvillea ribbon should be on either side with the aquamarine ribbon in the middle. Start braiding the sari silk tightly. You could attach the jump rings onto all of the charms and focals and slide them onto the ribbon as you are braiding. I attached mine on after I braided. You may need a bigger jump ring for the pectin shell.
Once you have finished braiding, if you did not slide on your charms and focals attach them now. I had to wire wrap the cowrie shell so I could create a loop for it. Follow the tip below to make this cowrie bead charm.

To finish, slide the hook onto the end and tie a knot. Or you can always attach the hook with a jump ring like I did.
Cut the chain to your desired length. Attach the lobster clasp with a jump ring. Attach the sand dollar charm onto the center the chain using a jump ring.
