Step into paradise with this combination of peach moonstone teardrops, shell, and lepidolite faceted rice that create a sparkling serene palette.
Long strand: Cut 24" of stringing wire. String the beads on in the order shown. In between each peach moonstone teardrop and lepidolite bead I have about 0.75" worth of pectin shell. After the last lepidolite beads I have an 1.5" of pectin shell at the ends.
Shorter strand: Cut another 24" of stringing wire, I like having extra cord to work with:) String the beads on in the order shown. For this strand I have a 1/4" of shell in between each peach moonstone teardrop and lepidolite bead. I have a 1/2" of shell on the ends after the last lepidolite bead.
Slide the stringing wire through the crimp bead then through the wire protector. Bring the wire protector over the horse eye ring. Bring the wire down through the other side if the wire protector and back down through the crimp bead. Be sure the stringing wire is not twisted. Use crimping pliers to crimp the crimp bead. Trim some wire off and slide the rest of the tailback down through the beads. You could add a dot of glue for extra durability and then attach the crimp cover over crimped tube using pliers.
I cut two 5" piece of gold chain. Use jump rings to attach each horse eye ring to the chain. Use a jump ring to attach the clasp to the chain.
For the beaded chain necklace layer: I cut a 16" piece of beaded chain, make sure this is the right length for you. Attach a clasp on one end using a jump ring.
To create the center focal slide 4 shell beads and a lepidolite bead onto an eye pin. Create a loop at the top using round nose pliers or use a looper tool. Wrap the excess wire around the base of the loop.
See Tip: Wire Wrap a Bead Link
For the peach moonstone teardrop. Cut a 4" piece of wire. Slide the wire through the hole. Twist the wire a few times at the top center of the bead. Trim off one tail. Use pliers to create a loop. Wrap the wire around the base of the loop several times. Trim any excess wire. Use a jump ring to connect the teardrop to the bead link. Attach the focal to the center of the necklace using a jump ring.
