We took a basic pumpkin and made it fabulous by blinging it out with sparkling crystal beads.
Cut a 22" piece of wire. Image 1: Slide a wood bead onto the center of it. Image 2: String 5 crystal beads onto one end. Image 3: Feed the wire end with the beads on it over and through the wood bead. Image 4: The beads form an arch and gently pull the wire tight. Image 5: Add 5 crystals to a wire end. You can alternate wire ends if you want. Bring the wire over and through the wood bead. Image 6: Repeat this process until you have 7 bead arches all the way around the wood bead.
At the bottom, Image 1: Take the wire from either end, and feed it behind one of the arches. Image 2: Bring the wire down to the bottom of the arch, ensuring the wire is not wrapped around a bead, but only the bottom wire. Gently pull to tighten. Image 3: Bring the wire up through the middle of the wood bead. Image 4: Both wires should be at the top.
Image 1: Twist the two wires 3/4" up. Slide on a seed bead. Image 2: Use pliers to create a loop at the top. Wrap the wire around the base of the loop a few times. Don't trim the wires.
Image 1: On one of the wire tails, slide on a leaf bead. Image 2: Fold the wire in half and twist. Trim off any extra wire, only from that wire tail.
For the remaining wire tail. I used round-nose pliers to create the coil. Image 2: Pull the coil apart with your fingers a bit.
Now the earring is finished, slide the pumpkin onto the earring wire. Repeat all the steps above to make one for the other ear:)
