This gorgeous lampwork bead is strung on hand-woven Linhasita cord, which gives a natural, dainty style to this necklace. Watch the video to learn how to twist the cord.
Cut two 3ft pieces of Linhasita cord. Slide the lamp work bead onto the center of both cords. Tie a knot on each side of the bead to keep it centered on the cord.
Clip or tape down one side of the cord. Watch the video. In the video, I take both cords, and I start twisting them in the same direction separately. Then, twist both cords together tightly. Make sure the length fits your neck.
When the necklace is long enough, tie a knot at the end to secure the twist. Repeat Steps 2 & 3 for the opposite side of the necklace.
Image 1: Slide the lobster clasp onto both cords. Image 2: Separate the cords. Image 3: Wrap the right cord around several times. Image 4: Wrap the left cord around a few times in the opposite direction. Image 5: Tie two overhand knots. Image 6: Trim the cord and use a lighter to burn the ends to seal the knots. Follow the same steps for attaching the jump ring on the opposite end of the necklace.
