Beach Day Bag Charm

Step 1

You will need to measure how far apart your purse clasps are to see how much strand wire to cut. My clasps are about 9" apart. I cut about 14" of strand wire, so I had extra to work with.

Step 2

String the pearls onto the strand wire. Crimp the strand wire. This image is from another project, but it is the same process. Slide on a crimp tube, then a wire protector, and back through the crimp tube. Use crimping pliers to crimp the tube. If you can, feed some of the cord through a couple of beads, then trim. Use pliers to cinch in the wire protector. Place the crimp cover over the crimp tube and close with pliers. Attach the jump rings to the wire protectors.

Step 3

Use the beach-style glass rounds to make a bead link. Slide 3 beads onto an eye pin. Create a loop at the top with a looper tool or round-nose pliers. If you use pliers, wrap the excess cord around the base of the loop a few times and trim. Attach the crystal teardrop to the bottom of the bead link with a jump ring.

Step 4

Attach the pearl strand and beach-style glass charm to the ring clasp with jump rings.
