The vacay-ready necklace is full of ocean hues, elegant gold, and beautiful fish to top it off. You can also make the shorter millefiori flower and pearl necklace if you want to layer it up. Click ↓ Step-by-step ↓ Buy the supplies
Cut 20" of beading wire. Attach a jump ring to the fish focal. Slide the fish onto the cord. Slide on 17 turquoise howlite beads, then 8 gold point beads. Slide the rest of the beads on in the order shown. You will use almost the entire strand of turquoise howlite. I slide 7 gold point beads onto each end of the necklace.
Cut two 1.5" pieces of chain.
This image is from another project, but it is the same process. Slide on a crimp tube, then a wire protector. Bring the wire protector (if using one) over the chain link, then bring the wire back through the crimp tube. Use crimping pliers to crimp the tube. If you can, feed some of the cord through a couple of beads, then trim. Use pliers to cinch in the wire protector. Place the crimp cover over the crimp tube and close with pliers. Do the same on the other side of the necklace.
Attach the toggle to the chain using the 5mm jump rings.
