This necklace displays a fun collection of shells and sea-inspired beads. The bright blue Linhasita cord creates a unique way to embellish a chain.
I measured about 17.25" of chain. The chain links open so you can remove any extra chain. Cut two and a half arm lengths of cord. Fold the cord in half. Create a lark's knot to attach the cord to the chain.
Bring both cords to the front of the chain link, then pass the ends through the cable link and pull to tighten.
Keep going until you have reached the end of the necklace. The necklace may coil a little because of the cord, but it lies perfectly straight when worn. Tie a few overhand knots to finish. Burn the knot ends with a lighter to seal them, or a dot of hypercement glue will work well too. Attach the hook clasp with a jump ring.
Attach the focals to the chain with the jump rings. Start in the middle and work outwards. Make sure the first pendant is centered when you try it on before you continue. You will need to create a bead charm out of the ammonite coin by using a head pin. Follow the tip below for help.
