Don't forget to decorate your hands; they like to be embellished, too. This is a perfect way to finish off your summer stack. This dainty hand chain really sparkles and shines in the sun.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • a minimum of 3 feet of chain, depending on how large your wrist and hands are. My wrist is about 7.5" in diameter.
  • 4mm jump rings
  • lobster clasp
  • tiny Nassa shells
  • Czech glass goldfish
  • 6" piece of 24 gauge gold wire

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

When cutting this chain, you will need to use the cutters to gently break the crystal bead at the place you want to cut. Once the bead is broken, you will see an extra link where the bead was. This is where you will cut the chain.

Step

Step 2

For this design, you need to make sure to keep trying it on so it fits your hand properly. Image 1: For the ring chain, I cut two 3/4" pieces of chain, making sure this is the right size for you. Connect them with jump rings. Image 2: From the ring down to the starfish, I cut a 1.75" piece of chain. Connect this chain to the jump ring on the ring portion and to the starfish loop. Make sure the jump rings are closed tightly.

Step

Step 3

Cut the next piece of chain to a measurement of 3/4". Attach this piece to the bottom loop of the starfish. Next, cut a piece of chain that is long enough to fit around your wrist comfortably. Connect the piece of chain from the bottom of the starfish to the center of the bracelet chain. Attach your clasp with a jump ring, and add another jump ring to the opposite end.

Step

Step 4

For the double wrap bracelet, I cut about 14" of chain. Create 2 bead links out of the fish by sliding them onto an eye pin and creating a loop using a looper tool or round-nose pliers. I place the fish about 5" apart on the chain. Check to make sure they will appear the same on your wrist. Follow my tip in step 1 for cutting the chain. Attach the fish using jump rings to the chain. Wire-wrap a Nassa shell and attach it with a jump ring to the fish link.

Step 5

The links on this chain are dainty; if you notice any of your jump rings coming off, take a tiny bit of super glue on a toothpick and place some where the jump ring comes together.
