Fun, floral, and full of life. This necklace blends intricate seed bead flowers with Millefiori rounds, mixed gemstones, and shimmering crystals for the perfect pop of sparkle. This is a sprig beauty and a great way to use extra beads.
Cut 6' of cord. Feed the thread through the needle eye. Slide on a stopper bead 5" from the end of the thread. Slide the first part of the beads on as shown.
Create the first seed bead flower. Image 1: Slide on 4 pink seed beads and one yellow. Image 2: Bring the needle up through the first pink seed bead. Image 3: Pull the thread so it wraps around the yellow bead. Image 4: Slide on three more pink beads, and slide the needle through the bottom pink bead. Image 5: I like my flowers tight, so I go around all the pink beads with my needle one more time. Pull tight.
Time to make the second, larger flower. Image 1: Slide 5 white seed beads and one Millefiori round onto the needle. Bring the needle up through the first white bead. Image 2: Slide on 5 more white beads. Bring the need down through the bottom white bead. Image 3: Pull tight. Image 4-6: Go back through all the white beads twice until you end up at the top by the pink bead. Image 7: Bring the needle down through the Millefiori bead and out behind the bottom white seed bead. Image 8: Bring the needle around the thread between the bottom two white seed beads to create a loop. Feed the need through the loop. Make sure the flower is tight and butted up next to the pink flower. Pull the thread to tighten the knot.
Now make the third flower... Image 1: Slide 4 purple seed beads and one yellow seed bead onto the needle. Bring the needle up through the first purple bead. Image 2: Slide 3 purple beads onto the needle. Bring the needle through the bottom purple bead. Pull tight. Go around the purle beads one more time ending up at the bottom.
Slide more beads on in the order shown. Now, start the yellow flower. Start the yellow flower by sliding 5 yellow beads and one Millefiori round onto the needle. Bring the needle up through the first yellow bead. Image 2: Go around the yellow beads with the needle twice, bring the needle down through the Millefiori round and out through the bottom of the flower.
Slide the remaining beads on as shown. Finish the last group of three flowers.
Slide a few more beads as shown. Create one last flower using a Millefiori round and white seed beads.
To finish the necklace, slide the cord through a crimp tube, through the wire protector, and back down through the crimp tube. Bring the needle down through a few beads. Use pliers to pinch the wire protector together a bit. Use crimping pliers to crimp the tube. Place the crimp cover over the crimped tube and close using pliers.
