Ladybug Earrings

While their iconic red shells are certainly eye-catching, ladybugs are powerhouse predators that provide essential "security" for gardens and crops. These earrings display ladybugs in their natural leafy habitat.

Supplies you’ll need:

2 ladybug beads
1' Hamilton gold tiny double rollo chain
oval jump rings
Czech glass leaves
Miyuki spacer beads
eye & head pins
ear posts and clutch

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut two 1/2" pieces of chain.

Step 2

Make the two ladybug beads into bead charms. Slide a spacer bead and a ladybug bead onto a headpin. Use round-nose pliers to create a loop at the top of the bead. Trim any excess wire.

Step 3

Make two crystal bead charms. Slide a bead onto a headpin. Create a loop at the top with pliers.

Step 4

Use an eye pin to create a loop for the Czech glass leaf. Use pliers to bend the eye to the center of the leaf top. Then bend the eye pin tail to the center of the leaf top. Wrap the tail of the eye pin around the base of the loop a few times. Trim off any excess cord.

Step 5

Attach lady bugs bead charms to the ear wire, then attach the chain to the ear wire with a jump rings. Attach the leaf charm with a jump ring to the chain. Attach the crystal charm to the leaf jump ring.
