Repurposing leftover denim into wearable art. This boho-style cuff features intricate floral patterns hand-sewn with vibrant Czech glass beads. It’s proof that simple materials and a little needlework can create something truly striking.
I used the pant cuff of my jeans. Cut the denim to fit your wrist. The cuff is 0.75" wide and 6.5" in length. Lay out the flower pattern from the center of your denim piece; the flower design is about 3" wide.
Cut 3' of thread. Make sure the needle you choose to use fits through the bead holes, or use the needle I listed in the product list. Leave a short tail sticking out of the needle. With the long tail of thread, create 4-5 knots on the end of the thread. Start laying the flowers out in the pattern. I took a picture of my flower layout with my phone so I could look back at it while I was working on it.
Lay the first flower in the center of the bracelet. Bring the needle from behind up through the jean material. Bring the thread through the bead and back down through the bracelet. Bring the needle back through the bead hole one more time. Move the needle over to the next bead on the back side of the bracelet.
Stitch on a leaf bead. Bring the needle up through and around the leaf hole twice. Move on to the bellflower.

The right side is done.
To finish off the right side, create a knot by feeding the needle through the denim on the back of the bracelet. Before you bring the needle all the way through, take the longer piece of thread and wrap it around the needle 4 times. Pull the needle through. This creates a tight knot to secure the thread. You can do another one if you want to make sure it's really tight. Trim the extra cord off and move on to the other side of the bracelet. Follow the steps above to create the left side of the bracelet.
Feed the ends of the bracelet into the crimp ends. Use pliers to tighten down the crimp ends. Pull the crimps to make sure they are down tight. Attach a jump ring on one side and a jump ring and lobster on the other.
