Birds of a feather find their perfect home in this bracelet. Surrounded by charming yellow porcelain sunflowers and bright enamel daisies, they rest in a miniature, wearable garden.
Recommended tools: Strong cutters, good for cutting stainless steel chain.
Wrap the elastic cord around your wrist twice. Pull and stretch the cord to loosen it up so it will knot more easily. Slide the porcelain sunflower beads and the PVD gold-plated 6mm rounds onto the cord until there is enough to fit your wrist. Watch the video to learn how to tie an elastic cord knot.
Cut 10" of Chinese knotting cord. Slide on the prehnite beads and 3mm PVd gold rounds onto the cord in the pattern shown. To finish, you can knot the cord around the jump ring and clasp or use a crimp bead and crimp tube as shown in the image. You don’t need a wire protector for the cord.
This image is from another design but uses the same technique. To finish the necklace, bring the cord up through a crimp tube over a soldered jump ring and back down the crimp tube and through a few beads. Pull tight. Use crimping pliers to crimp the tube. Place the cover over the crimped tube and close with pliers. Do the same steps on the opposite side, but with a clasp loop instead of a jump ring.
Cut the stainless chain to fit your wrist, including the clasp. Create bead charms out of the gold bird beads. Slide a bird onto a head pin and create a loop at the top using the looper tool or round-nose pliers. Hang the charms on the chain using jump rings.
