This shell-filled necklace set has pops of turquoise glass and a warm copper Mykonos sea urchin focal. These necklaces will keep you on island time no matter where you are.
Cut 25" of cord for the sea urchin necklace. Slide the urchin focal onto the center of the cord, then slide the beads on the right side, then the left, in the order shown. Finished necklace is about 19"
For the shorter necklace, cut 20" of cord. Slide 14-15 shells onto the center of the cord. Slide the tube glass beads onto either side until you have reached your desired length. My necklace is 15.5" in length, including clasp.
Watch the video above to learn how to attach the lobster clasp to each necklace.
Please follow the images to attach a jump ring to the end of each necklace. Image 1: Feed the cord end through the jump ring. Pull the jump ring down so it is right up to the last bead. Image 2: Rest your index finger on top of the beaded cord. Bring the short cord around the finger once, moving to the left. Image 3: Slide the loop off your finger. Bring the working cord down through the loop. Image 4: Pull the cord end to tighten the coil. Push up on the coil with your finger to make it extra tight. Image 5: Create another knot just like you did. Image 6: Trim the cord, and use a lighter to burn the end until slightly soft. Push the trimmed end down to seal the knot.
