Glowing green rounds knotted with pops of dreamy purple Lihasita cord make for a stunning necklace to layer up with your favorite chains. This necklace is 18.5", including the clasp. If you want a longer necklace, you will need two strands of the green agate or add in some complementary beads.
Cut 4' of cord. If you are making the necklace longer, you may want to cut a little more cord. Fold the cord in half. Slide the needle onto the center of the fold.
Slide an oval jump ring onto both cord ends. Don't worry about the needle end; we will get to that later. Create an overhand knot. Bring the cord around your finger and bring the jump ring through the coil. Pull to tighten the knot. Trim the cord and burn the trimmed ends gently with a lighter to seal the knot.
Start by stringing on half of the beads. Push them down to the jump ring you just attached. Watch the video to learn how to add knots between the beads. It's so easy.
Check to see if the necklace is long enough; do not add a knot to the last bead. Cut the cord to pull the needle off. Take the cord tail and create a barrel knot. Wrap the tails around your left index finger twice, moving to the left. Slide the coils off your finger, keeping the shape. Bring the cord tails down through the coils. Pull the cord to tighten the knot, making sure the knot bumps up to the last bead. Trim the ends and burn the trimmed ends with a lighter to seal the knot.
Attach one jump ring to the clasp.
Attach the 6mm jump rings to each charm and slide them onto the ring. Attach the other necklace jump ring.
