I love these super large rondelles- they have a lovely smooth texture- but It was challenging for me to figure out what to design with them. I decided on pairing them with some recycled glass & this aquamarine nugget to create a focal piece. I really love the way it turned out, and I think the colors go great together.

Supplies you’ll need:

Recycled Glass Apricot Tumbled Rondelle
Pink Seed Beads
Tumbled Nugget (light green)
Beading Wire
20 or 22 gauge gold wire
24 gauge gold wire
Gold Seed Beads
Czech Glass trica or firepolished beads (dark green)
Gold Chain
Gold Crimp Tubes
Gold Lobster Clasp

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Slide a piece of wire through the pink rondelle. Twist together a few times and slide through the recycled glass piece, so that one piece of the wire is on the inside of the bead, and the other is on the outside. Twist together and bend so the ends of the wire go into the hole at the top of the recycled glass piece. Slide a new piece of wire through the other side of the recycled glass bead. Wrap the wire around twice and then slide on your gemstone nugget bead. Create a loop at the top with round nose pliers. I used 24 gauge wire for this last part, just to make sure it would fit through the hole in the gemstone. The picture is the view from the side.

Step 2

Use the beading wire to create bead links with the pink, green, and gold beads. Attach to the chain by looping the end of the wire through a chain link & securing with a crimp tube. I made each side 11.5".
