Beaded Face Mask Lanyard

Project details:
I love the idea of mask chains, but I also wanted to make something colorful & more unique than just plain chain. So I decided on this beaded lanyard using a simple square knot technique along with seed beads & waxed linen. Another great way to use up extra seed beads you may have laying around!
Supplies you’ll need:
jump rings (10mm), 2 ply black waxed linen, seed beads, lobster clasps, super glue
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1
Follow the attached tip for how to use the square knot. You will be creating a square knot around each seed bead. I used 8/0 & 11/0 seed beads, but the 8/0 are a bit easier to slide on. I placed a tiny drop of glue on the knots at each end. Attach the 10mm jump rings to the straps on the mask, and hook the lobster clasps onto the jump rings. Including the lobster clasps, my lanyard ended up being 17" long.
