The combination of the rich brown leather cord with the pop of turquoise is my fave. The turquoise magnesite rondelles have a large hole which makes them ideal for a leather cord design. I love this laid back style, you can wear it with everything.

Supplies you’ll need:

You will need:

3ft of 2mm leather cord (I always buy extra)
3 turquoise magnesite large hole rondelles
5 African brass rice beads

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut your leather cord into two long pieces. slide one end of each cord through the rondelle bead.

Step 2

Take one cord and fold it in half over the side of the rondelle. Then you will create a knot. I will show you how to create the knot in steps 3 and 4.

Step 3

Take one tail of the cord and wrap it around the other tail twice.

Step 4

Then pull that leg down through the two loop and pull tight. Now you can add another bead and knot again.

Step 5

When you add another bead, take one tail down though the top of the bead and the other bottom to top. Bring both tails to the side to create a knot. Keep adding as many beads as you want.

Step 6

Use an extra piece of cord to create a sliding square knot. Please see the tip below to make one. Embellish the cord ends as you like, I added African brass rice beads. The brass bead holes can be a little wonky, just cut your cord at an angle to get it through.
