Honu Bracelet Set
by Andrea at Lima on 08/05/21
About this design:
I have always been enamoured by sea turtles. Sea turtles have been around for 100 million years! So of course I wanted to use the Recycled Glass Sea Turtle beads in a design. These beads are just the right size for a bracelet. You could make this design into a necklace too.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
You will need: *1 Recycled Glass Sea Turtle Bead *Waxed Cord *Czech Glass 5x7mm Rondelles *Czech Glass 4x6mm Teardrops *2 Antique Silver Shell Beads *A Half Strand of Magnesite
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Wrap your waxed cord around your wrist twice and cut. I always want extra cord when working on a project just in case;) Do this for both bracelets. |
|
Step 2: String the beads on in the order as shown. Then do an overhand knot at the end of your beads so they stay in place. |

Step 3: To finish off the bracelets I did a sliding square knot using an extra piece of my waxed cord. I embellished the ends with extra beads. I did this on both bracelets. See Tip: Using the Sliding Square Knot |
Step 4: Note: For the bracelet without the turtle, I strung the beads onto one cord and then took another piece of cord knotted it with the cord the beads are on, then I was able to wrap the cord around the beads in a spiral pattern. I knotted it on the other end. |
