For the second round of Lima beach week, I wanted to create modern, tropical earrings that I would love to wear this summer. There were some great pieces to choose from but I was drawn to the abalone crescent and black lip shell horse eye focals.
You will need 2 abalone crescent moon focals, 2 black lip shell horse eye focals, 2 mother of pearl crescent moon beads 8x6mm, and conch shell heishis. You wil also need 2 pairs of ear wire, eye pins, textured jump rings, an rollo chain. Any extra beads you have you can use for matching bracelets.
Abalone crescent moon earrings: 1. Cut a couple of inches of chain. 2. Attach the chain to your eye pin loop. 3. Feed the eye ppin through the crescent bead. 4. Now create a wire-wrapped loop at the top. 5. Figure our how long you would like your chain and trim. I trimmed my to be 1.25" long. 6. Take your head pin and feed it through the mother of pearl moon bead, create a wire-wrapped loop at the top. 7. Connect the moon bead charm to the chain with a tiny jump ring. 8. Attach the abalone crescent to the ear wire. Follow the tip below to neatly wire wrap your crescent charm.

Black lip shell earrings: 1. Use your pliers to straighten out the wire end on the ear hoops (it comes bent upwards so it closes the hoop). 2. Now you can slide on your conch shell heishis. 3. Attach the horse eye focals to the jump rings and center it between the conch heishis.
