I just adore the gorgeous matrix patterns of the orange impression jasper teardrops. The orange hues put me in the mood for fall. Plus, I've been waiting for something to pair up with the Czech glass ionic beads, they have a cool crackled appearance. I can see this necklace with a t-shirt, chunky cardigan, and a yummy pumpkin spice latte:)
You will need 3 orange impression jasper teardrops (the patterns vary, each one is different), green turquoise Czech glass ionic 6mm beads, waxed cord, 3 ft of 2mm & 2ft of 1.5mm leather cord, faceted gold rond beads, 24 gauge wire, cord ends, 1 eye pin, 2 jump rings, and lobster clasp. Recommended supplies: super glue
I cut about 6-7" of cord and slide it through the hole of the pendant. Tie two overhand knots at the top.
Slide on the gold bead then two overhand knots, slide on a ionic bead and two overhand knots, then another gold bead. Finish with two overhand knots. Make one more pendant like this. For the middle pendant, I wanted it longer so I added another ionic bead and gold bead. I added a touch of glue to the backside of the pendants where the cord comes out to keep the cord from shifting on the pendant.
Cut your longer piece of leather cord to the length you want. My length was 16". Tie your pendants onto the cord tightly with two overhand knots. I used a little dot of glue to keep them in place but you don't need to.
Cut a long piece of waxed cord. Start 1/2" up from your last pendant and start a knot, then start your square knots. Follow the tip below for help.
See Tip: Tying the Square Knot
Keep going...
Square knot around the pendants, this will also help secure them onto the cord. Keep going until you are a 1/2" past the last pendant. Double knot and add a dab of glue for security. Trim the excess cord off.
I cut a 15" piece of 1.5mm cord, then I cut it in half. Take an ionic bead and slide it onto the eye pin. Create a loop on the other side, follow the tip below if you need help. Feed the cord through the loop holes of the bead link. Fold the cord back over itself. Lay your wire on the cord and start wrapping it tightly back over itself several times. Trim off the excess wire. Do the same on the other side.

To finish make sure your necklaces are the length you want then glue & crimp on your cord ends. Now attach your jump rings and clasp.
