Azure & Abalone Necklace
About this design:
I love the smooth feel and the sound of the tumbled glass coins hitting together, so I wanted to layer them slightly in this design. The little abalone link adds some needed beachy shimmer. Plus, I used stainless steel chain and jump rings for extra durability.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
You will need 5 beach-style glass coins, 3 ft of stainless steel chain, stainless steel oval jump rings and small round jump rings, abalone coin link, shell charm, and clasp.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Cut 13.75" for the shorter necklace and cut 16" for the long necklace. Find the center of the necklace and attach a coin using an oval jump ring. Continue adding the rest of the coins every 5 links apart. |

Step 2: They should lay slightly on top of each other. |
|
Step 3: Connect the abalone link to the end pieces of the short chain with the small jump rings. Cut one ring off the center of the back of the chain so it is an open necklace. |
|
Step 4: Attach the short chain and long chain necklaces together with jump rings. |
|
Step 5: Attach your shell charm to a little extra chain and attach to the end jump rings of the necklace. Attach your clasp. |

Crystal Canary says:This is so fun! The movement of the coins & bright colors make this a winner for the summer. Definitely like how you used the stainless steel chain. I tend to veer away from plated chains around my neck in the summer, but using the stainless is a perfect solution.
