Down By the Boardwalk Necklace
About this design:
This monochromatic style creates an elegant, beachy style using enamel beads. I added a shell and lava rock for an earthy touch. This will definitely be my go-to necklace for summer.
What you’ll need: (buy products below)
You will need 2 jet 6x5mm enamel chevron beads, 6 jet 6x5mm enamel chevron beads, 4 white 4x5mm enamel chevron beads, 4 jet 4x5mm enamel chevron beads, 4 gold 4x5mm chevron beads, 6 gold enamel end cap chevron beads, 6 jet enamel rondelles, jet waxed cord, 6mm lava rock, shells, a scallop, jump rings, a clasp, and 2' white cable chain.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: I cut about 3' of cord. Slide the shell on first, then an end cap enamel bead with the flat end facing the shell. Then sliding the rest of the enamel beads on in the order shown. You could always add more shell into this pattern. |

Step 2: Slide on the lava rock beads. Finish this necklace with a sliding square knot. Follow the tip below to learn how to make a sliding square knot. See Tip: Using the Sliding Square Knot |

Step 3: I made the chain necklace about 16" long. Use the jump rings to attach the clasp and the shell. |
