Classic Pearls Lariat-Style Necklace

This elegant necklace showcases some of our different styles in mother of pearl. This is a simple necklace with high style. I will be wearing this one a lot!

Supplies you’ll need:

mother of pearl donut
mother of pearl feather
freshwater pearls
eye pins 1.5" 24 gauge
3 ft tiny paperclip chain
1 head pin
lobster clasp
jump rings

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut a 10" piece of chain. Feed the chain through the donut hole. Use a tiny jump ring to connect the paperclip chain together just above the donut.

Step 2

Make 4 freshwater pearl bead links using your eye pins. Follow the tip below if you need help.

Step 3

Cut a 14" piece of chain. Feed it through the back of the donut and out the front. Attach the MOP feather to the bottom. Now you can lay the necklace out and see where you would like t place your freshwater pearl bead links.

Step 4

Cut the chain were you would like to add your bead links. Use the jump rings to attach your bead links to the chain.

Step 5

Cut your chain to your desired length. Attach a jump ring to one end of the chain and a clasp. For a little extra embellishment add a pearl onto the head pin and create a bead charm to hang from the clasp.
