Bring Hawaii to you with this tropical necklace. Enjoy creating this lovely flower made with cowrie shells woven together. This necklace is perfect for beach dwellers.
Cut 14" of cord. Follow the images to ties the cowrie shells together. Image 1: Slide the cord through the front of the cowrie. The pointed ends should e facing each other. Image 2: Tie a half of an overhand knot. Image 3: Slide two cowrie shells, the cord should pass through the front of the shells. The pointed ends should all be facing each other. Image 4: Bring both cords around the the front and tie a half of an over hand knot. Image 5: Bring the cords around to the back and tie a full overhand knot. Image 6: Feed the last cowrie onto the cord, bring the cord around and out the back of the cowrie. Image 7: Bring the opposite cord around to the back and tie an overhand knot. Image 8: To tighten yo everything take the cord through the cowrie shells a few times and tie and overhand knot on the back. Burn the knots with a lighter to seal them. A little super glue doesn't hurt either for extra security.
Cut 2 arm lengths of linhasita cord. Tie the flower focal onto the center of the cord.
Cut 1.5' of cord. Tie it onto the cord attached to the flower pendant.
Create 3-4 square knots. Slide a bead onto the center cord. All of the beads will be strung onto the center cord. Follow the tip below if you need help with tying a square knot.

Make 3-4 suqare knots after the bead. Continue until you have enough beads to wrap around one side of your neck.
Do Step 4 & 5 again for the other side of the necklace.
Tie on a cowrie shell on one end to finish.
On the other end tie off your square knot and create a loop with the cord. Create a barrel knot at the base. Trim any extra cord and slightly burn to seal the knots.
