Miyuki spacers create texture in between shimmery metallic seed beads. This is an elegant layered style perfect for gifting.
Cut 20" of strand wire. The finished length of the beaded necklace is 16" including clasp. You can add more beads if you want it longer, you should cut a longer piece of strand wire if you do.
Start in the center of the cord with 1 gold bead and 8 spacer beads on each side. Add another gold bead to each side of the spacers and then 12 more spacer beads on each side. Slide on 19 iris bronze 11/0 seed beads onto both sides. See step 3 for the rest.
Slide on 5 spacer beads, 1 gold bead, and 5 more spacers on each side. Repeat this until the necklace is as long as you like. I added extra seed beads to the back to make it longer.
This image is from another project, but it is the same process. Slide on a crimp tube, then a wire protector, and back through the crimp tube. Use crimping pliers to crimp the tube. If you can, feed some of the cord through a couple of beads, then trim. Use pliers to cinch in the wire protector. Place the crimp cover over the crimp tube and close with pliers. Attach the jump rings to the wire protectors. Attach the lobster clasp to one of the jump rings.
