Flight of the Butterfly Earrings

Step 1

Long dangling earrings: Cut 1.25" piece of chain. Cut 1/2" piece of chain. This chain is for the longer dangle. Create a bead link using a head pin and a flower bead. Create a loop on the opposite end of the eye pin with a looper tool or round-nose pliers. Create a bead charm using a butterfly bead, head pin, and a seed bead. Create a loop at the top of the butterfly using round-nose pliers or a looper tool. Using the oval jump rings, connect the longer piece of chain to the top flower loop. Connect the short chain to the bottom flower loop, then connect the short chain to the butterfly charm. Make another one of these for the other ear:)

Step 2

Long dangling earrings, shorter length: For the shorter chain butterfly dangle, cut one 3/4" piece of chain and one 1/2" piece of chain. Create another bead link using a flower bead and another bead charm using the butterfly bead. Using oval jump rings, connect the 1/2" piece of chain to the top flower bead and the 3/4" piece of chain to the bottom loop of the flower bead. Attach the butterfly bead charm to the longer chain. Make another one of these for the other ear.

Step 3

Connect one longer and one shorter dangle to the ear post using an oval jump ring for each chain.

Step 4

Hibiscus & Butterfly earrings: Make a butterfly bead charm. Slide a seed bead, a butterfly bead, a seed bead, a rice pearl, and another seed bead onto a head pin. Create a loop at the top using a looper tool or round-nose pliers. Create a beadlink by sliding a hibiscus bead onto an eye pin. Create a loop at the top of the bead using a looper tool or round-nose pliers. Connect the butterfly charm and hibiscus bead link using a round jump ring. Connect the earring to the earring post.
