Flamingo Beach Bracelet

Step 1

Cut 3' of cord. Slide the cord through the button loop. Cut 2 4' pieces of Linhasita cord, one in each color.

Step 2

Place 5" of the Linhasita just under the button on the leather cord and tie it on. Wrap the cord around several times and knot. The cord should be wrapped about a 1/2" down from the loop.

Step 3

Cut off two of the tails on one side and burn the knot to secure it. Cut the working Linhasita tails at an angle so they fit through the bead holes.

Step 4

Clamp the cord down to something so it doesn't move. The Step 4 image is just showing you how to do a square knot. Start doing a square knot using the two Linhasita cord tails as shown. Be sure to switch cord colors each square knot so the colors will alternate on the bracelet. See Step five for how to add beads.

Step 5

Slide a bead on each tail when you are about to do a square knot. Then another square knot after the bead. Then slide two more beads on and continue.

Step 6

When you have enough beads on leave about another 1/2" to wrap the cord around and knot. The same as you did in Step 2. Burn the knot to secure it.

Step 7

Take the leather cord ends and place them around the button to see how big of a loop you need. Cut a 8" strand of each waxed cord. Tie on Linhasita cord just after the button on the cord and wrap it around several times. Trim the cord ends and burn the knot. Trim off extra leather cord.
